Portfolio Project 1 - Mid Check

This week I focused entirely on sculpting the Valekin fountain. I didn't finish everything on the body to the level I wanted it to be, but for the most part I was able to meet my goals.

Common Art Sprint #1 Deliverable

I'm on the Gods of War project, an asset showcase of three Japanese gods preparing for battle at a shrine, and I'm going to be modeling a set of war drums used by Dan Giust's raijin character. For this deliverable I'm showing the blockout I've made and the reference board I've compiled; the arch connecting the drums won't be present in the final product, but will give the VFX artist Mishal Asad a guide to use as she blocks out the lightning effects. I've also begun the concepting process using the blockout as a guide.

Portfolio Project 1 - Start

For my first portfolio project, I'm modeling an unused fountain design for the Valekin society from Airborn Studios' cancelled game "Project Dragon". This week I compiled references, created a schedule, built a blockout, and began preliminary lighting in Unreal.

I have a stylized plant video I plan to refer to for reference; I have access to it because I'm subscribed to the creator's Patreon, so it's not publicly available.

Physical Fabrication Projects

 

• One Sticker Set created using the Cricut machine (The artwork must be original; it can be 2D, 3D, or a hybrid.)

  My thought is to do some cute Fire Emblem characters; I don't know if I want to do individual ones or pairs, but I love my silly pretend war veterans.

• One T-Shirt Design (Final output must be a wearable, printed T-shirt.)

  If that's too hard to weed (and probably will be)
  

• One Fine Art Print to be displayed in the hallway.

  A sick project. Something cool and intimidating. What would that be? Good question.

   Might 3D print a Fire Emblem thing?

• One Small to Medium Resin 3D Print

   Something kinda chunky and cute. Maybe with a cat? Halloween theme?
